Tony Asaro is a five-tool guy, which means he can do it all on and off the baseball diamond. His love of sport and of people, especially youth, led him to develop his Moral Foundation of Character, the basis of which is the five-tool pillar approach: attitude, respect, responsibility, caring, and truth. Recognizing that our youth today can benefit from the same motivational standards that we as adults utilize in corporate America every day through seminars and conferences, Tony has built programs to bring those same tools to schools, districts, associations and non profits that focus on kids and young adults.
As a motivational speaker, Tony is an MVP. His unbridled enthusiasm, endless energy, and gifts of motivation and inspiration touch the hearts of youth and adults alike, leaving a lasting impression of character, courage, and commitment.
Tony will show you how to discover and develop the greatness within you.
A product of Northern California, Tony Asaro grew up in Carmichael, graduated from La Sierra High School, and attended Sacramento State University. Tony has served as a Youth Program Director for the Northeast YMCA Sacramento and Greater Palo Alto YMCA, was a Career Center Counselor and Community Schools Director for San Juan Unified School District, and a small business owner. For 14 seasons, Tony was part of the Big Show as the Community Relations Director for the Sacramento River Cats Baseball Club. Tony and his wife, Nanci, have four children and three grandchildren.

"After 14 seasons of passionate speeches, inspiring assemblies, and educational HR Tours, Tony Asaro has helped changed our community. There have been many letters and emails from educators, teachers, parents, fans, and community organizations about how inspirational Tony is and how excited they are to have him back each year. Tony's success has not gone unnoticed. He is now receiving requests throughout the country for him to come speak, do training and staff development. With that, Tony is beginning a new journey in which he is going to not only represent the River Cats, but now also himself. We are now going to have to share him with the rest of the world as he builds upon his speaking engagement business."

"The greatest single community asset that the City of Sacramento, Department of Parks and Recreation, Access Leisure section, has been privy to over the past 14 years, has been Tony Asaro. Through his work with the Sacramento River Cats, Tony served as the voice of our organization in every motivational presentation he made by including the importance of inclusion of individuals with disabilities in sport, social and fitness opportunities. He is beloved by the entire disability community and the family and friends of all the youth that participate in our programs such as our River Cats Independence Field baseball league, Paralympic Sport Sacramento Club programs and our camping and outdoor educational programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. He has also served as a motivational speaker for our sporting events for injured, ill and wounded veterans and active duty injured members of the Armed Forces. He is devoted and passionate about inclusion for all and reintegration of our Nation's Heroes as they return home. I am very honored to give Tony Asaro gold medal approval from our organization and look forward to him speaking at many more Access Leisure events!"
—Annie Desalernos, Program Supervisor, City of Sacramento, Access Leisure.
